Vanish doesn’t require your real-world identity. You create a persistent identity inside Vanish, but you can keep your real name, full public profile, and other personal details out of the conversation until you’re ready to share more.
Do I need a public profile to use Vanish?
No. You don’t need a polished social profile, follower count, or feed before you can talk to someone. Your profile gives people a little context. The conversation does the rest.
Can I chat with people worldwide?
Yes. You can meet people nearby or further away. Vanish is about finding someone you feel like talking to, not staying inside your existing social circle.
How does Vanish handle spam and abuse?
Vanish uses reporting, blocking, automated moderation, and platform rules to cut down on spam and abuse. You’re always able to block someone or report something that crosses the line.
Can I report users or messages?
Yes. You can report users, messages, images, and group behaviour from inside the app. You can also block people you don’t want to hear from again.
Is Vanish free to download?
Yes. Vanish is free to download on Android. There are optional in-app items if you want things like more conversation starts or extra visibility.
Does Vanish store my payment card details?
No. Google Play handles payments, so Vanish doesn’t store your payment card details.
What are Slots, Spotlights, and Roses?
They’re optional extras. Slots let you start more conversations, Spotlights put you higher in discovery for a while, and Roses help a message stand out when someone has really caught your attention.
Can paid items bypass moderation?
No. Paying for something never puts you above the rules. Moderation and enforcement still apply in exactly the same way.
